HUMBLE (part 1)

Do not harden your heart because the voice of God can not be heard by ears and heart that are harden. (Pastor Manasa Kolivuso). 

Zacchaeus was a rich man, a tax collector mentioned in the Bible (Luke 19). He wanted to see Jesus, when he heard that Jesus was passing through. So he climbed a sycomore tree, because he was a little man to be able see Jesus that day. When Jesus saw him, he said, "Hurry down, Zacchaeus, because I must stay in your house today." (Luke 19:5). I would say that Zacchaeus was the luckiest man ever alive on that day. Jesus told Zacchaeus that He would be in his house on that day. WOW!      

The story of Zacchaeus demonstrates the love of God; God loves sinners too; God loves everyone. Jesus acted it out while His time here on earth. Jesus visited a sinners' house, Jesus went it a house of a tax collector, He talked to a sinner on a tree, He reached out to someone that tries to see Him.  

He visited Zacchaeus that day and He can also visit your house today.  

How can Jesus do that?

Jesus was humble. Humble enough to reach out to Zacchaeus. He was humble because He had love. Jesus did not condemn Zacchaeus of his sins, but came to save him from it. Jesus had love, He cares for sinners too. GOD DID NOT COME TO RUIN YOU. HE DID NOT COME TO HURT YOU, BUT HE COMES SO YOU MAY HAVE LIFE; EVERLASTING LIFE.  

Humility comes with compassion.  

John 3:16 For God so loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life. 

A father giving his son for the sake of the whole world is the most humble thing to do. I can not imagine even, But God did it! God loves the world. God loves you. God loves your neighbor. God loves everyone. 

If God loves you, how can He still allow bad things happen to you? How are you still struggling? Why are you losing too much? Why are your enemies laughing so hard at you? You may question God on this. As people we tend to question alot of things; we forget about God and the many amazing things He has done and continue to do for us. 

You see, Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, so he climbed the sycomore tree to see Jesus when he was passing by. Then, Jesus noticed him. Jesus noticed Zacchaeus on the sycomore tree and He can also notice you, if you climb a sycomore tree. You must desire to see the Lord just as Zacchaeus on the day Jesus went pass Jericho. Just as Jesus noticed Zacchaeus on the sycomore tree, He can also notice you. 

Take for instance, when you want something; you will do anything to get what you want. A want is something we wish for, a desire or something you ought or should to have. When you want something, naturally you will do everything that you can to get what you want, to get where you want to be. The urge comes from within, the need to see Jesus must be developed from the heart, the heart of willingness, the heart of desire, a heart of desperation for the Lord, and you will find it. Rise from where you are and Jesus will recognize you, move that faith another level up then the Lord will bless you, pray a little bit more for God hears every bit of it, kneel down before your Creator, for He knows what's best for you. 

Just as Zacchaeus climbed, you have to as well; You will need to get up, step up, step out of that comfort zone, step out of that lazy lifestyle, step away from wicked doings, step away from idolatry, step away from sin. Then God might listen to you. Aim high, aim for greatness in order to see Christ, CLIMB. believe in great things, work on getting better today, it starts with you. In order to recognize the goodness, the amazing work, the marvelous doing of God, you need to step up. 

Do no slumber! Wake up from your sleep and start working today! Do not be lazy! Enough entertaining the devil! STAND UP NOW! RISE UP TODAY!

Remember that the devil is a liar, defeat the devil today with that extra hour of prayer. Defeat the devil with the truth, the word of God. Tell yourself that you can do it and trust God to align your life according to His will. 

If you dream for great things you can achieve great things, because God is great. If you wish for happiness, you can be happy, because God is a joyous God. If you want marvelous things in life, turn to the Creator, He provides for His children. You cannot be closing doors to your neighbor and ask God to bless your house. We must do good in order for God to work through us. Act out love just as God loves you. 

You do your part, God does His part, everything will fall into place. 

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvelous things that you know nothing about."

YOU ARE WORTH IT!

You're not a mistake, you were made for a purpose.  You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by his Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by his blood. May grace and peace be yours in full measure  (1Peter 1:2) . Many times we tend to feel that were alone, we feel left out, hopeless, broken, incomplete, unwanted, worthless and all that worries us.
